Five Student Spaces for Finals Week

Finals week for the winter 2024 term is quickly approaching, and the student concierges at the information desk in the Creese Student Center thought they would help their fellow Dragons by putting together a list of places to study on campus. These are just a few of their favorite and most recommended places to study on the University City Campus. Best of luck on your final exams, Dragons!

Creese Student Center

Creese Student Center (3210 Chestnut Street)

Creese Student Center has excellent places to study and relax. The lobby on the first floor has comfortable chairs, couches and round tables where you can sit with friends. Also, there are board games available for everyone to play with. On the ground floor, there is a designated quiet lounge with traditional carols and dividers to help you focus while studying. The Greenwalt Student Development Center has plenty of room for groups to sit at large round tables. Lastly, the concierges recommend working on group projects in the Hans so you can fuel up and get down to business. Drexel Campus Dining has a lot going on during finals week, so make sure to check out their event calendar.

W.W. Hagerty Library (33rd & Market)

In the Hagerty Library, there are multiple places for everyone to go. People sit at tables in the common area of the first and second floors to study alone or with a group. Another popular place is the Dragons’ Learning Den. The library’s 24-hour space on the first floor includes couches, chairs, tables, a self-serve market for snacks and food and the Serenity Suite reserved for relaxation between study sessions. Lastly, on the second floor, groups can reserve a study room and utilize the whiteboard to present work to everyone in the space.

Gateway Garden on Market Street

The Gateway Garden (32nd & JFK)

When the weather is favorable, a table at the Gateway Garden is one of the best spots to study. There’s a canopy with a few tables for individual or group meet-ups. Or, check it out just for a great study break!

Rush Building (30 N. 33rd Street)

The best places to study and relax in Rush include the Center for Black Culture (CBC) on the first floor and the commuter lounge on the ground floor. It is also a great idea to sit in the garden or on the balcony on warmer days.

Kelly Commons

There are also plenty of rooms to sit and study. Take a look at the ARC’s event calendar for finals week programming.
