Drexel, in partnership with American Campus Communities (ACC), is pleased to announce that the renovation and expansion work for Kelly Hall will commence later this month. ACC has been an integral partner to improving the housing options on the University City Campus, including the renovation of Bentley Hall in 2019.
Kelly Hall, a 400-bed undergraduate residence hall on the University City Campus, underwent an evaluation in 2020-2021 as part of an ongoing initiative to assess the quality of the University's housing offerings. As a result of the findings and to support student preferences, the 86,000 sq. ft. renovation and expansion will provide additional living community amenities, featuring:
- A new student green space along Spangler Walk
- A new Academic Success Center
- Renovated neighborhood lounges with kitchenettes and study space
- Reconfiguration and replacement of all floor bathrooms, converted to be gender inclusive
Please note that Northside Dining Terrace will continue to operate during this time.
