Kara Spiller and Drexel's Innovation Ecosystem Spark Collaboration with Colleagues at Spark Therapeutics

Kara Spiller, PhD, professor in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, is featured in the summer 2022 issue of Drexel Magazine, where she discusses how serendipitous encounters that foster a new relationship or spark an idea are more likely when smart, talented people mingle in an environment such as the one that currently exists on Drexel's main campus. Now that Spark Therapeutics is located within feet of Drexel's Bossone Research Center, where Dr. Spiller leads her Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine Laboratory, such interactions have already led to serendipitous conversations with colleagues at Spark.
