Co-op Award
Aakankschit Nandkeolyar, undergraduate student in the School of Biomedical Engineering Science and Health Systems,
received a 2020 Drexel University Cooperative Education Award for his co-op with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where he led multiple projects, such as the generation of scientific data to support a collaboration between GlaxoSmithKline and two external universities and connecting a new analytical instrument in the lab to an existing platform in a way that had never been attempted before.
Graduate Awards
Outstanding Dissertation Award Winner: Adrian Curtin, PhD Candidate in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, Drexel University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China – The Outstanding Dissertation Award is presented to PhD/doctoral students who have written original, innovative dissertations that reflect great research and have or are likely to be disseminated widely and have significant impact on the field and society.
Drexel Common Good Award Winner: Olivia Ngo, PhD Candidate in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems – In partnership with the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement, the Drexel Common Good Award is presented to graduate students (master's or doctoral level) who demonstrate academic excellence and who are committed to improving the world around them by making contributions to local, national or global communities through either scholarship or civic engagement.
Outstanding Mentorship Award Finalists: Aakansha Nangarlia and Hannah Spece, both PhD Candidates in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems.
Post-candidacy Research Excellence Award Finalist: Greg Risser, PhD Candidate in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems.
