There are many events planned for the Golden Dragon Society – our alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. Join your classmates back on campus to enjoy one another’s company, to experience and learn about the Drexel of today and to meet some of the University’s faculty, staff and students.
Our guests of honor this year are the members of the 50-year reunion Class of 1975! We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone reunion with you and welcome you into the Golden Dragon Society.
THURSDAY, MAY 1
Drexel Class of 1975 Welcome Dinner
5:30 to 8 p.m.; Main Building; Anthony J. Drexel Picture Gallery
Kick off your reunion weekend at this intimate, seated dinner, surrounded by the artwork of the Anthony J. Drexel Picture Gallery which houses 19th Century European artwork, as well as portraits by A.J. Drexel’s father, Francis Martin Drexel.
FRIDAY, MAY 2
Golden Dragon Society Luncheon
11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Creese Student Center, Behrakis Grand Hall
Catch up with friends old and new and reminisce about your Dragon days at this luncheon for all members of the Class of 1975 and prior. The Class of 1975 will be inducted into the Golden Dragon Society, the Golden Dragon Award recipient will be honored and a Class of 1975 group photo will be taken.
SATURDAY, MAY 3
2025 Urban Futures Symposium: Keynote and Panel Discussion
3:30 to 5:30 p.m.; Constantine N. Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building
Take a deep dive into the issues surrounding the sustainability and livability of modern urban environments. Through the lenses of citizenship, health and infrastructure, our keynote and panel of Drexel faculty experts will tackle important questions surrounding human responsibilities in the future of urbanism.
This enlightening discussion on urban health, urban land and creative placemaking features keynote speaker, Tracy Loh, PhD, a Fellow with the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Center for Transformative Placemaking at Brookings Metro.
A panel discussion featuring Drexel faculty Richard Dilworth, Phd, Department of Politics; Alina Schnake Mahl, ScD, MPH, Department of Health Managment and Andrew Zitcar, PhD, Director Urban Strategy, will follow the keynote.
Drexel’s Symposium on Urban Futures is presented by Drexel University’s Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, College of Arts and Sciences and the Dornsife School of Public Health.
Drexel After Dark
6:30 to 9:30 p.m.; Arlen Specter U.S. Squash Center
Celebrate the close of Alumni Weekend with friends from Drexel University, College of Medicine and its legacy schools at Drexel After Dark! This year, guests will get exclusive access to the world-class Arlen Specter U.S. Squash Center to dine, drink and dance the night away.
Enjoy food stations, signature cocktails, fun photo ops and more, as we take over the state-of-the-art Specter Center which is housed in the historic Pennsylvania State Armory Building on Drexel’s University City campus.
The 76,000 square-foot facility is home to the U.S. Squash Hall of Fame, as well as a high-performance training center for Team USA athletes and the U.S. Squash National Headquarters.
