Alumni Weekend is a chance for grads who share similar interests or graduated from the same college or school to come together and celebrate their common bond.

THURSDAY, MAY 1

16th Annual Executive Summit — Innovation: Readiness, Relevance and Reimagination

12:30 to 6 p.m.; Gerri C. LeBow Hall; DiPiero Grand Meeting Room and Rose Terrace
This half-day conference brings together visionary business leaders to discover the transformative potential and implementation of emerging technologies, including generative AI.

Through a dynamic keynote talk, engaging panel discussion, interactive activities and networking opportunities, you’ll learn how to assess opportunities to innovate, streamline processes and build customer engagement to prepare you for tomorrow, stay relevant and reimagine what’s possible.

Arfaa Lecture – The Architecture of Urbanity: Designing for Nature Culture & Joy

Vishaan Chakrabarti is the founder and creative director of Practice for Architecture and Urbanism, where he leads a global portfolio of cultural, institutional and public projects. In New York, Chakrabarti collaborated in efforts to save the High Line, rebuild the East River waterfront, expand Columbia University’s campus and reincorporate the street grid at the World Trade Center site.

DUBAC Golden Dragons and Alumni Meet & Greet

7:30 to 10:30 p.m.; The Study Hotel, Living Room
Catch up with friends and get acquainted with fellow alumni during this get together. Reminisce about your Dragon days at this initial event to celebrate the history and legacy of our time at Drexel! Appetizers, sodas/iced tea and the first drink are on us!

FRIDAY, MAY 2

SOLD OUT: Anthony J. Drexel Society Barnes Foundation Tour: Invite Only

2 to 3:30 p.m.; Barnes Foundation
Members of the Anthony J. Drexel Society will be treated to private, docent-led tours of the Barnes Foundation, which promotes the appreciation of art and horticulture and is home to one of the world's greatest collections of impressionist, post-impressionist and early modern paintings. Spots are limited!

The Anthony J. Drexel Society recognizes donors who contribute $2,500 or more to any area of the University during a fiscal year. Recent undergraduate alumni of the last five years (2020-2024) are recognized with contributions of $500 or more. Learn more about the Anthony J. Drexel Society here.

LGBTQIA+ Alumni Networking Happy Hour

4:30 to 6:30 p.m.; The Study Hotel, Living Room
Have some happy hour fun during Alumni Weekend with the LGBTQIA+ Alumni Network. Mix and mingle, network and celebrate your shared Drexel connection with members of the Drexel LGBTQIA+ community and allies. Appetizers and soft drinks provided, and cash bar available.

DUBAC Alumni-Student Gathering & “Paris Noir” Popcorn & Movie Night

5 to 9:30 p.m.; Drexel University Center for Black Culture
Kick things off with a special gathering for current students and Golden Dragons. A limited supply of “A Legacy to Share” volumes 1 and 2 will be available for students, signed by the authors in attendance.

Then, starting at 6:30 p.m., learn about the City of Lights and the contributions made by African American soldiers, writers, artists, musicians and entertainers as they toured or lived in Paris. Following the one-hour film “Paris Noir,” those who were on the DUBAC guided tour of Paris last fall will share their experience and answer questions. Pizza, popcorn and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

Kline School of Law Classes of 2010, 2015 and 2020 Reunion

Join fellow law school friends and classmates at your milestone reunion celebration during Alumni Weekend. Enjoy drinks, appetizers and beautiful river views from the Fitler Club terrace. This is a joint reunion celebration for the Kline Law School Classes of 2010, 2015 and 2020.

The Peter Eizen ’00 Memorial Fund and Annual AEPi/Drexel Hillel Shabbat Dinner

7 p.m. (optional services at 6 p.m.); Raymond G. Perelman Center for Jewish Life
Created to honor Peter Eizen’s commitment to Jewish life and his passion for the AEPi fraternity, this Shabbat dinner is a joint Drexel Hillel/AEPi event open to all students, Drexel alumni and friends/family of Peter. Through this Drexel Hillel/AEPi collaboration, we hope to bring Peter’s spirit to life by nourishing and empowering AEPi and Jewish students at Drexel.

Dinner is kosher and will include meat and vegetarian options. In lieu of a registration fee, guests can make a donation in support of Drexel Hillel, or to the Peter Eizen '00 Memorial Fund at Drexel University.

Drexel Alumni Awards Ceremony and Brunch Reception: INVITE ONLY

All awardees and their guests are invited to join Interim President Denis O’Brien ’89 and the Alumni Board of Governors for brunch to honor exceptional Drexel alumni and students who go above and beyond in their professions, the community and within the University. Business casual attire is requested.

Business and Engineering Centennial Celebration

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Bossone Research Enterprise Center, Mitchell Auditorium & Lobby
Join fellow alumni and current and former faculty members to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Business and Engineering program (formerly known as Commerce & Engineering) at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business! Reconnect with classmates, mentors and friends as we recognize the inaugural recipients of the department’s Early Career and Alumni Career Achievement awards, reflect on the past 100 years and look ahead at the program’s future. Then, come together over a celebratory lunch with beer, wine and soft drinks.

Goodwin College Alumni Reception and Lunch

Goodwin alumni are invited to visit the College's offices for a reception featuring a State of the College address from Executive Director, Brian Ellis, PhD, as well as a meet and greet with Goodwin faculty and staff including instructor Craig Loundas, PhD and former Saturday Scholars instructors. Enjoy lunch and the opportunity to reunite and network with fellow alumni!

Triangle Reception

A major milestone in the future of The Triangle will be announced at this reception for alumni, current staff and Triangle supporters. Celebrate the legacy of The Triangle and get the latest updates from key alumni and staff. We'll dedicate the paper’s newsroom in honor of a Triangle alumnus and toast the dedication of the editor-in-chief office, in honor of all of the alumni who have supported the publication.

DBAN Presents Welcome Back to Campus Tour: Biomed Edition

4:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Tour Starts at Bossone Research Enterprise Center, 1st Floor Lobby
Join the Drexel Biomed Alumni Network for a condensed tour of Drexel University's campus to see how much it has changed since the beginning of the millennium! The tour will focus on some of the newer buildings and facilities, including those used heavily by the School of Biomedical Engineering, including the BME design space at 3101 Market Street, the Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building, the Bossone Research and Enterprise Building and Gerri C. LeBow Hall. It's the perfect way to see the whole campus right before heading to Drexel After Dark!

Drexel AEPi 30th Anniversary Celebration

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Raymond G. Perelman Center for Jewish Life at Drexel University
Celebrate 30 years of AEPi at Drexel with a special anniversary brunch! Hosted by Marc Blumberg ’04, Jonathan Coopersmith ’20, Marc Leber ’99 and Joel Muderick ’02, this brunch will bring together Delta Rho alumni and active brothers.

Department of Architecture, Design & Urbanism 2025 Charrette

12 to 2 p.m.; URBN Center, Lobby
From May 2 to 4, the Department of Architecture, Design & Urbanism at the Drexel’s Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design will host a weekend-long student design challenge. This Charrette brings together approximately 100 students from a variety of disciplines. We are partnering with Vishaan Chakrabarti of PAU architects to imagine the future of Philadelphia’s Delaware waterfront in the wake of the capping of Interstate 95.

Alumni and their guests are encouraged to stop by Sunday from 12 to 2 p.m. to view final projects. No registration required. Any alumni interested in being involved in the Charrette can reach out to Tim Nawrocki tn493@drexel.edu.
