    I decided to become a member of the Alumni Board of Governors because being on the Board will hopefully put me in spaces to be able to advocate for the needs of the alumni community. I see my role as a liaison between the University and alumni, specifically our younger alumni. I want to be a diverse face in the crowd and help ensure that alumni can see themselves in this group that is meant to represent them.

    My very first experience flying was when I flew, alone, from Cleveland to Philadelphia on an Allegheny Airlines late night flight in a propeller driven “airliner” to enroll at Drexel University some 52 years ago.

    Drexel has done a lot for me and has given me a great launching pad for a successful career. My five-year undergraduate experience at Drexel was instrumental in providing life and learning skills that would prove to be critical to an enduring success.  My post graduate experience at Drexel provided that extra career achievement boost.  I am proud to be a Drexel University graduate.  I owe a debt of gratitude for my Drexel experience.  I want to give back to Drexel and its students and continue to associate with other achievement minded leaders.

    I love any path that keeps me connected to the University and on campus. Both my BS and MS are from Drexel, I adjunct within the Construction Management Department and am an active contractor on campus. Drexel and Philadelphia created the path of entrepreneurship that I am on today. Giving back to the current students and connecting alumni is a great way to give back.

  • What’s something interesting about you that people would be surprised to know? I enjoy the outdoors and most sports. Highlights include hiking trails with our golden retriever and making time to play golf and go skiing with family and friends as much as possible. Something that I miss dearly from the college days is that we used to hang out at the Drexel gym most afternoons and play a few hours of pick-up basketball games, with a few Drexel professors playing too. It was great camaraderie.

  • What’s something interesting about you that people would be surprised to know?
    I love the performing arts space. I took part in plays and musicals since I was eight years old. Most notably, I was in the play “The King and I” at Plays & Players Theatre which is a local theatre in downtown Philadelphia. “The Last Five Years” is my favorite musical.

    I decided to become a member of the Alumni Board of Governors to help shape the alumni experience for Drexel Dragons around the world! As I look back fondly at my time at Drexel, I see how my connections with alumni had a great impact while I was still a student. I now want to pay it forward by giving back to the current students. I look forward to using this role to elevate the stories of my fellow alumni about how they are continuing the “Drexel Difference” as active alumni as well as fostering new connections with alumni I have not met yet.

    I have been a part of the Drexel community for 13 years as a student and staff member.     My Mergers and Acquisitions class during which I formulated a strategy to start acquiring companies to grow my business.

    I am the second-generation owner of my family's electronics engineering and manufacturing company.

    I loved the fact that the Board was looking to diversify and felt called to lend my voice.

  • What student organizations, fraternities/sororities and/or sports teams were you a part of at Drexel?
    During my time at Drexel, I tried to remain involved in several organizations as well as with sports. I played Drexel Club Soccer, participated in the Drexel Marketing Association and led the Drexel Entrepreneur Association.
  • What's the first word that comes to mind when you think about Drexel?
    Self-Motivated
  • What’s something interesting about you that people would be surprised to know?
    When my wife and I moved to upper Bucks County, PA, we became more in touch with the outdoors. I took up the enjoyable hobby of making maple syrup in the winters, collecting sap from maple trees and turning it into liquid gold. Not only is it a fun and rewarding process, but who can resist the delightful aroma of maple syrup wafting through the house?

  • Why did you decide to become a member of the Alumni Board of Governors?
    With a wealth of experience in building digital startup companies and a strong entrepreneurial drive, I am excited to join the Alumni Board of Governors. My expertise can help the board effectively engage and connect with alumni worldwide. Witnessing the transformative impact the university has on its students fuels my motivation. As an adjunct professor in entrepreneurship and innovation, I have observed the institution shaping students' futures. I am committed to actively contributing to the university's ongoing success by providing resources, education, and support. I am humbled and enthusiastic about the opportunity to drive the university's continued growth.
