    I am an avid reader via audio books. I read 2-3 books a month while I'm on the road for work. My favorite genres are historical fiction and multicultural education. It is a way that I can gain perspective about others outside of my personal experiences, which I value greatly.

  • Why did you decide to become a member of the Alumni Board of Governors?
    I am highly involved with Drexel Athletics and a past Board member suggested I look into it and put my name in the hat. One of the best things about my role is the interaction with students and learning about how we, as alumni, can help them. I also LOVE getting to know fellow alum and helping them find ways to get more engaged with Drexel!

    I've gained a lot from my education at Drexel, and my experiences here have been very memorable.     I decided to become a member of the Alumni Board of Governors because being on the Board will hopefully put me in spaces to be able to advocate for the needs of the alumni community. I see my role as a liaison between the University and alumni, specifically our younger alumni. I want to be a diverse face in the crowd and help ensure that alumni can see themselves in this group that is meant to represent them.

    I truly loved my Drexel years. I started life as an engineering major in 1984 and went on co-op. While I loved math and science, co-op helped me know for sure that it wasn't the career I wanted. I also loved Philly and going to college in the city with so many opportunities. I got involved in the Board as I think it's really important to create a wide network to help you reach goals in life - personal and professional - and to give back to other alums as I can.

    Co-op or food trucks (missing those Chicken Satay Tacos from Cucina Zapata)
  • What’s something interesting about you that people would be surprised to know?
    I love the performing arts space. I took part in plays and musicals since I was eight years old. Most notably, I was in the play “The King and I” at Plays & Players Theatre which is a local theatre in downtown Philadelphia. “The Last Five Years” is my favorite musical.

  • Why did you decide to become a member of the Alumni Board of Governors?
    I decided to become a member of the Alumni Board of Governors to help shape the alumni experience for Drexel Dragons around the world! As I look back fondly at my time at Drexel, I see how my connections with alumni had a great impact while I was still a student. I now want to pay it forward by giving back to the current students. I look forward to using this role to elevate the stories of my fellow alumni about how they are continuing the “Drexel Difference” as active alumni as well as fostering new connections with alumni I have not met yet.

    I wanted students to see the possibilities and resources that Drexel can offer them. I want to help students to have a great experience, like I did, and take advantage of the current opportunities the school provides along with building more programs that will benefit them in the future.
