  • EXECUTIVE ORDER RESTRICTS IMMIGRATION

    January 30, 2017

    On Friday, January 27 President Trump signed an Executive Order restricting immigration into the U.S. by citizens from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Syria. According to the Executive Order, the restrictions are to be in place for at least 90 days. Drexel University officials are carefully monitoring the situation as it pertains to our university travelers and advises international students and scholars from the affected countries to defer any planned travel outside of the United States at this time. Additional information and guidance can be obtained from International Student and Scholar Services. Drexel does not currently have any known affected travelers.


  • UPDATE: INCIDENT IN JERUSALEM

    January 08, 2017

    On 1/8/2017 a bus plowed into a group of people, primarily soldiers, as they were descending from a bus.  At least 4 people were killed. Drexel has contacted all travelers in Israel and they are safe and accounted for. We will continue to monitor events and advise Drexel travelers accordingly.


  • Update: Incident in Istanbul

    January 03, 2017

    Drexel Study Abroad is deeply saddened by the events that occurred on New Year’s Eve at a nightclub in Istanbul that left 39 dead.  Drexel does not have any known travelers in Istanbul. We will continue to monitor events in Turkey and advise Drexel travelers accordingly.
