Early reports indicate five victims in the attack and local authorities have responded to the scene. A welfare check on known Drexel travelers in the city was completed.

      Due to the recent escalation of protest activities on university campuses in Hong Kong, Drexel has made the decision to discontinue all programming for students in Hong Kong effective immediately. International Health, Safety and Security is working with students to arrange for their safe departure from the city in the coming days.

      Drexel International Health, Safety and Security is closely tracking the path of Typhoon Hagibis which is expected to make landfall over the weekend in the Tokyo area. Known Drexel travelers in the region are significantly north of the expected landfall, but have been advised of the storm which is expected to result in air and rail cancellations.

      Drexel International Health, Safety and Security is tracking the path of Typhoon Lingling which is forecast to make landfall in Jeju Island over the weekend. Minor disruptions are expected in Seoul as the storm passes through the region. Known travelers in the region have been advised to monitor the storm and adjust travel plans accordingly.
