Dr. Donna Sabella, an assistant clinical professor at the College of Nursing and Health Professions, travelled to Uganda to provide maternal and child healthcare education to locals for two weeks.

Dean Donnelly and the CNHP Alumni Network hosted a reception for alumni and friends in conjunction with the 26th Annual Scientific Sessions of the Eastern Nursing Research Society on April 10 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel.

“Every society invests in their future by making sure that their babies born today grow up to be healthy adults tomorrow,” said associate professor in the Graduate Nursing Department Joan Bloch. “And we know that healthy mothers have healthy babies,” she continued.

The Behavioral Health Counseling (BHC) Department at Drexel’s College of Nursing and Health Professions presented the first in a series of colloquia on March 11.

Ellen Giarelli, EdD, and Kathleen Fisher, PhD, from the College of Nursing and Health Professions and Jennifer Plumb, DSW/LSW, PhD, from the University’s AJ Drexel Autism Center were awarded conference grant funding from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality NIH/AHRQ.

The College of Nursing and Health Professions and Drexel Online have created the world’s very first graduate certificate program in Integrative Addictions Therapy which is slated to begin in Fall 2014. 

As part of her mission to showcase the outstanding nursing work done at the College, Goldschmidt has been a regular technology column writer for the Journal of Pediatric Nursing for the past three years.

Stephen F. Gambescia, PhD, the Assistant Dean of Academic and Student Affairs and a clinical professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions’ Health Services Administration Department, has been appointed founding editor of the new journal Pedagogy in Health Promotion: The Science of Teaching and Learning.

Maureen P. Davey, PhD, along with Roy A. Bean and Sean D. Davis, edited a book entitled Clinical Supervision Activities for Increasing Competence and Self-Awareness.

Students from the ACE Program, along with their family and friends, gathered together to celebrate the students’ completion of the rigorous eleven-month program that is the shortest of its kind in the nation.

Rachael Ray, a well-known television personality and celebrity chef recently invited Jennifer Nasser, PhD, an associate professor of Nutrition Sciences at the College of Nursing and Health Professions to join her on set to explain human brain responses to certain foods.

Omolabake Fadeyibi, an instructor of Health Assessment and Community Health at Drexel’s College of Nursing and Health Professions realized her dream of giving back to the two places she calls home when she created her own non-profit organization, LabakCare.
