Gambescia Appointed Founding Editor of New Journal

Gambescia, PhD, the Assistant Dean of Academic and Student Affairs and a clinical professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions’ Health Services Administration Department, has been appointed founding editor of the new journal Pedagogy in Health Promotion: The Science of Teaching and Learning. The journal is sponsored by the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), a professional association solely dedicated to the profession of health education. The journal will be published by Sage publications, a publisher of hundreds of journals including the top journals in health, behavioral, and social sciences. Gambescia notes that, “This journal will round out the talent and give voice to those involved in professional preparation and continuing professional education in this field." The first issue is scheduled for release in Spring 2015. The journal will be open to all health profession specialists as long as their work addresses learning and teaching in the area of health promotion.
