The Daskalakis Athletic Center (DAC) is the home of Drexel Athletics. The facility includes a swimming pool located on the lower level, five squash courts, a golf center, and a gymnasium featuring courts for recreational, intramural, club volleyball, and basketball. The DAC primarily services varsity sports.

John Daskalakis
BS, Mechanical Engineering, 1963
Mr. Daskalakis was a Partner in the Maryland Baseball Limited Partnership, which owned three minor league affiliates of the Baltimore Orioles, the Double-A Bowie Baysox and two Single-A teams, the Frederick Keys and the Delmarva Shorebirds. Mr. Dasklakis was also in the telecommunications business, and he sold his company, FLEETTALK Partners 900, Ltd. to Nextel Communications in 2000. Mr. Daskalakis received the 2001 College of Engineering Alumni Circle of Distinction Award and was named to the Drexel 100 in 2003. Mr. Daskalakis was a notable lacrosse player at Drexel who made the varsity team in his freshman year. He named the John A. Daskalakis Athletic Center in 2000.
