Magdalena Mączyńska

Associate Director
Magdalena Mączyńska is an award-winning academic teacher, with over
twenty years of experience in the classroom. She has worked with
students at a range of educational institutions, from a large research
university to a small
liberal arts college to a maximum-security prison. She has
helped colleagues develop their teaching craft as faculty peer mentor,
writing program director, department chair, and teaching excellence and
innovation center director. Her work
on pedagogy has been published in Transformations: The
Journal of Inclusive Scholarship and Pedagogy and in The Academic’s
Handbook. She is an active contributor to the interdisciplinary field of
climate education. Dr.
Maczynska is particularly interested in helping faculty
mitigate educational alienation, foster educational equity, and enjoy
their work with students.
