Tell us about the project you were involved in.

Abhishek: I worked on a variety of projects, but my primary undertaking was analyzing data from the Steinbright Career Development Center at Drexel. I also assisted in DSI consulting projects.

What did you learn by working with external partners?

Abhishek: When I joined DSI, I was a novice at data analytics. With the help of my supervisors, I gained confidence and learned skills in teamwork, storytelling and data visualization.

For you personally – what is the value of participating in projects that involve external partners?

Abhishek: The projects I worked on exposed me to real-life problem solving, teaching me to think outside the box when consulting with partners.

What was your favorite part about participating in this opportunity?

Abhishek: I enjoyed the problem-solving aspect of data analysis in this project.

How has this project shaped your academic career beyond co-op?

Abhishek: Although I earned my undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, I will be pursuing the field of data analysis moving forward. My co-op with DSI gave me the confidence I needed to take this step forward.
