Dear Colleagues,

We are writing to remind you that the University Advisory Committee (UAC) on Faculty Workload Policy would like your input as we develop an updated policy for full-time faculty and the deadline to do that is January 28.

The Consistent and Effective Policies and Practices (CEPP) Workstream laid the groundwork through a framework centered on equity, transparency, flexibility, and accountability, which are principles guiding the UAC's drafting process. Their research and Faculty Senate presentation provide additional context.

We have created an anonymous survey to provide you with opportunities to share thoughts on the framework's guiding principles and to suggest elements for the initial policy draft. The UAC is crafting a policy that recognizes the full scope of faculty contributions including teaching, research, scholarship, creative work, service, and where applicable, clinical care.

What we need from you

  • Please take this brief, anonymous survey
  • Submit by Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 5 p.m.

Once we have an initial draft of the new policy, engagement will continue through listening sessions, Faculty Senate consultation, and coordination with General Counsel and Academic Transformation Co-Sponsors.

Thank you for lending your voice to this milestone moment that is helping to shape Drexel’s future.
