AWIS Scholarship Opportunities for Current Students and Alumni

Dear Students, 

Thanks to Drexel University’s institutional partnership with the Association for Women in Science (AWIS), current students and alumni may be eligible for one or more 2026 AWIS Scholarships. Scholarships range from $2,000 to $10,000.  

Applications close February 28. Visit awis.org/scholarships/ to learn more.  

Specifically, AWIS scholarships support: 

  • First-generation college students 
  • Current undergraduates  
  • PhD students 
  • Members seeking to reenter STEM careers  

You must be an AWIS member to apply, but you can join at no cost to you using this form because of Drexel’s institutional partnership with AWIS.

For over 50 years, AWIS has advocated for the inclusion and advancement of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Through our institutional partnership, AWIS membership is free of charge to Drexel undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral students as well as faculty. This membership opportunity is open to people of all genders who support women in STEM.  

Should you join AWIS, I encourage you to choose AWIS-PHL as your chapter. AWIS Philadelphia offers programs and resources, as well as networking, mentoring, and leadership opportunities for people at all levels of their career and education who support women in STEM.
