The 418 Main Dance Studio is located on the fourth floor of the Main Building on 32^nd and Chestnut Streets. Built at the turn of the last century as a gymnasium for the original Drexel Institute Building, the room includes a 60 foot by 50 foot dance floor, with 22 foot ceilings. The flexible studio space includes additional seating area for up to 75 people for informal performances. Renovated from classroom space into a dance studio in 2013, the facility functions as the primary rehearsal space for the Drexel University Dance Ensemble and FreshDance companies. The facility includes five dressing rooms, portable mirrors and barres, and a state of the art sound system.
