Lee Dolat
Lee Dolat is a 5th year PhD student in the Department of Biology. His research focuses on the cell biology of septins, a family of genes that are frequently misregulated in cancers. In particular, he is interested in how septins regulate the assembly and organization of the actin cytoskeleton during tumor cell migration. Using state-of-the-art super resolution microscopy techniques and novel biomimetic three-dimensional matrices, he will explore how genetic and pharmacological inhibition of septins affects the migration of tumor cells at the cellular and molecular level.
