Ezekiel Crenshaw is a 5th year PhD student in the Department of Biology. His research focuses on translational control of the Amyloid Precursor Protein (APP). Increased levels of APP contribute to Alzheimer’s disease and his current work aims to understand how a guanine quadruplex is involved in regulating the expression of this protein. His faculty advisors are Drs. Aleister Saunders and Michael Akins.
