The WW Dissertation Fellowship in Women’s Studies supports the final year of dissertation writing for PhD candidates in the humanities and social sciences whose work addresses issues involving women and gender in interdisciplinary and original ways. The Fellowship has been supporting outstanding PhD candidates since 1974. These Fellows, conducting original, significant, interdisciplinary research on women’s and gender issues, have gone on to grow and shape the field of women’s studies.
Fellows must be enrolled in an American doctoral program at a graduate school located in the United States and are expected to complete their dissertations during tenure of the award.
