DPI Presents at GRC July 27, 2014 Gordon Research Conferences provides an “international forum for the presentation and discussion of frontier research in the biological, chemical, and physical sciences, and their related technologies.” The Gordon Research Conference on Plasma Processing Science was held on July 27-August 1, 2014 at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. Students and faculty of the A.J. Drexel Plasma Institute in attendance discussed a wide range of topics within the field of plasma physics. Topics highlighted at the conference included fundamentals of plasma physics and chemistry and their interactions on solid and liquid surfaces as well as applications of plasma in medicine, synthesis of nano-materials, and energy production and storage. Poster presentations were given by Justine Han, Tony Liang, Chong Liu, Kamau Wright, Yohan Seepersad, Abraham Lin, Josh Piccioni, and Ivan Chernets. Faculty in attendance included Dr. Alexander Fridman, Dr. Gregory Fridman, and Dr. Danil Dobrynin.
