Technology Transfer and Corporate Partnerships
NPI thrives on our corporate partnerships and technology transfers. One of NPI's goals is to translate our research outcomes into products and services that benefit society, and this goal is better enabled by maintaining good corporate alliances, and continuously developing technologies. This goal is also enhanced by our continued work with NSF on incorporation of the NSF-I/UCRC model into NPI’s environment, and also by our continued efforts at maintaining visibility in various ways including: disseminating information through news announcements each month and continue working with the Office of University Communications to promote plasma technologies to wider audiences.
Corporate partnerships:
NPI ensures that that the total number of annual corporate members of the alliance is no less than 5 (five), and adding 2 (two) additional new memberships annually.
Technology transfer:
Some of the activities toward technology transfers include:
- filing invention disclosures,
- development of new patents and patent applications,
- submitting at least 6 (six) new invention disclosures to the Technology Transfer Office annually and
- continually assisting with commercialization of NPI’s patented technologies.
