Survey Instrument

The One-Year-Out postgraduate survey is designed to gather information on undergraduate career and graduate school outcomes. The instrument was developed in collaboration with Drexel's Center for Labor Markets and Policy, and was administered via a computer-assisted telephone interview (CATI) by Franklin and Marshall's Center for Opinion Research to the graduating classes (spring only) of 2012, 2013, and 2014. The survey obtained response rates in the 40% to 50% range; the Office of Institutional Research (OIR) has merged some of the key responses from this survey with the undergraduate Senior Exit Survey to calculate comprehensive post-graduate outcomes information.

New survey instrument

Beginning with the graduating class of 2015, OIR drastically shortened the survey while preserving continuity with the key items from the previous form, and began administering it to both Bachelors and Masters recipients for every term. Response rates have been between 50 and 60 percent.
