Abstract: We are developing a system which will reduce the time required for hand washing from 30 to 60 seconds down to a few seconds thus saving significant portion of time for doctors, nurses, and other hospital personnel. The system will use plasma-treated disinfectant aerosol to quickly coat the subject’s hands. The resulting product will be a box where a subject will insert their hands; the box will turn on automatically for a few seconds and turn off with an audible and visual alert that hands are now disinfected and can be removed. The system will be designed to work with all standard disinfectants.
