Sociology Film Series: Native American spiritual, political, and cultural identity

Wednesday, January 24, 2024

6:00 PM-8:00 PM

We invite you to watch and discuss three documentaries that showcase the rich history of, and growing movement amongst, Native American people to reclaim their spiritual, political, and cultural identity. These films showcase Native Americans' steadfast resilience in the face of adversity and ask us to consider how our national legacy of genocide and discrimination shapes our contemporary struggle for racial justice. Our discussions will involve themes of political and social advocacy, intergenerational trauma, and cultural identity.

Location:  All screenings are in-person (tentatively) at 3101 Market Street, Room 224

RSVP: Please email Meghan Hamilton, ms5429@drexel.edu
