Drexel's Department of Sociology is hosting a series called Power, Pleasure and Space: Planning the 21st City. Please join us for the second speaker of the fall series: Christopher Mele, professor of sociology, University at Buffalo. Lunch will be provided.

About the Speaker: Mele is the author of "Race and the Politics of Deception: The Making of an American City" (NYU Press, 2017). He is an urban sociologist with research interests in race and racism, and uneven urban development in Rustbelt cities.
