Bio:
I am a utility player who teaches anything relating to writing: stories of medicine and illness; creative writing; rhetoric and argument; and first-year writing courses.
I teach for the medical humanities program in both the undergraduate certificate program and Drexel’s medical school. I have also spent two years working with the University of Iowa’s international Writing Program. In their summer program we collaborated on workshops for medical professionals and creative writers engaging the general public on issues of health care, policy, and ethics. I also worked on the Journal of African Literature while it was hosted at Drexel as both editor and web designer.
I live with my wife, Ann Green – also a writing professor – and an abundance of animals. Our cat Emma is frequently available for Zoom meetings. What free time I have, I spend on piano, birding, and wildlife photography.
