Bio:

Bernat Ivancsics is an assistant professor at the Department of Communication focusing on the applications of computational and data journalism, the use machine learning and automation in digital journalism, and the histories of computational communication technologies. His prior experience includes fellowships at the Data Science Institute and the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia University, and at The New York Times’ research and development team. He holds a B.A. in Media Studies from Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, Hungary), and an M.S. in Journalism along with a Ph.D. in Communication from Columbia University.
