Researchers at Drexel and three other universities are collaborating to engineer the next generation of artificial limbs. Patricia Shewokis, a professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation is the lead investigator for Drexel's research team. They aim to develop a prosthetic arm that amputees can control directly with their brains, and that will allow them to feel what they touch.
