Jennifer Myers, MSN, RN, completed her undergraduate nursing studies at Frankford Hospital School of Nursing (AS & Hospital Diploma) and Drexel University’s RN-BSN program. She graduated from Drexel University Graduate Program with an MSN in Nursing Education and the Faculty Role and will begin her doctoral studies at Indiana University in the PhD in Nursing Education program.
Myers comes to Drexel as a faculty member with over 24 years’ experience as a nurse specializing primarily in pediatric and neonatal nursing. Her most recent focus has been on clinical informatics and population health. In this role she worked with health information management systems to develop and modify clinical workflows to identify and address the health needs of the patients served and ensure high quality care is maintained.
As a certified nurse educator, Myers has been in nursing education for 8 years where she took an active role in faculty development, curriculum design, and active learning technologies. She has presented at national conferences on active learning strategies and simulation.
Academic Distinctions
Myers received the Abington Memorial Hospital Nursing Excellence Award in Nursing Education in 2017. She was also selected to be the Abington Memorial Hospital, Dixon School of Nursing Commencement speaker in 2016.
