Alan J. Haroian, PhD is currently an Associate Professor in the Pathways to Health Professions Undergraduate Program in the College of Nursing and Health Professions. Dr. Haroian came to Hahnemann in 1978 as a member of the Department of Anatomy in the School of Medicine where he taught Gross Anatomy and Neuroscience.
Subsequent to Hahnemann University’s merge with the Medical College of Pennsylvania and ultimate union with Drexel University, Dr. Haroian has been a Faculty member of the College of Nursing and Health Professions. He teaches courses in Anatomy, Anatomy & Physiology and Neuroscience at the graduate and undergraduate level.
Academic Distinctions
Dr. Haroian received the Excellence in Teaching Award at the 2001 Commencement of the College of Nursing and Health Professions. He was nominated by undergraduate students for Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers for two consecutive years, 2004 and 2005.
Professional Society
Dr. Haroian has served on several College committees and currently is a member of the College Bylaws Committee. He has served previously as Faculty Advisor for Student Government and Student Preprofessional Society.
