BS-MSOT: Drexel-Salus Occupational Therapy Option

Program

Drexel’s undergraduate Health Sciences Department and Salus University’s Occupational Therapy Department have partnered to offer a BS/MSOT sequential degree program to high achieving students enrolled in the Health Sciences program.

In the BS/MSOT Option, students first complete a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Sciences at Drexel University, then enroll into the 2-year Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program at Salus University. Drexel Health Sciences students on the traditional 4-year BS degree track or the Accelerated 3-year BS degree track are able to pursue the Salus Occupational Therapy Option. Upon completion of Salus’s MSOT program, students will sit for the national certification exam to become a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR).

Admissions

Beginning Fall 2016, the Salus Occupational Therapy Department will reserve four (4) seats in the MSOT program for eligible Drexel Health Sciences students. If more than 4 eligible students apply, Salus will enroll the top 4 candidates and consider other applicants with the total MSOT applicant pool.

To be considered for the BS/MSOT Program, Drexel Health Sciences students must meet the following criteria:

  • Complete all undergraduate degree requirements in Health Sciences at Drexel University before enrolling into the Salus MSOT program.
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 on a 4.00 scale. Students that do not meet this criterion should consult with the Drexel Health Sciences Department Chair before applying to the Salus MSOT program.
  • Complete all admission requirements and prerequisites found on the Salus Department of Occupational Therapy website
