Information for Local Jobseekers and Businesses
The Office of University and Community Partnerships coordinates across administrative divisions at Drexel to get more West Philadelphia residents into jobs with us and with our vendors, and to cultivate new business relationships with West Philadelphia businesses.
Resources for Jobseekers at the Dornsife Center
The Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships is a place to start for local residents looking for support with a job search.
The Dornsife Center's open computer lab is available for any residents to get online, set up email accounts, work on online job applications, and use the internet. Our staff at the lab can help you with basic to more advanced digital skills.
Staff from Drexel Human Resources offers open hours at the lab one day each week. West Philadelphia jobseekers are welcome to find out more about what positions are available at Drexel and around the city, to get help with resumes and cover letters, and to work on interview skills.
Helms Academy at the Dornsife Center is for residents who want to finish their high school degree to get access to better job opportunities. Helms Academy participants get free-of-charge learning support with their online Pennsylvania commonwealth diploma, while getting access to free credit-bearing coursework through the Community College of Philadelphia.
