Information about Vaccines

Address Questions About Vaccines: This handout addresses concerns about a link between vaccines and autism, emphasizing that extensive research—including large-scale U.S. and international studies—has found no evidence supporting a connection. It also explains the importance and safety of vaccines, debunks the falsified 1998 Wakefield study, and highlights the genetic and environmental complexity behind autism.

No, Vaccines Do Not Cause Autism: This lay friendly handout explains that vaccines do not cause autism, debunking a widely publicized but discredited 1998 study and highlighting that multiple scientific studies have confirmed vaccine safety. It also clarifies that autism is a lifelong condition with genetic and prenatal factors, and emphasizes the importance of vaccines in preventing serious diseases like measles.
