Conflict of Interest
Promoting objectivity in research is defined in 42 CFR 50 Subpart F [PDF]. The Office of Research is responsible for the oversight of research-related financial conflicts of interest (FCOI).
Human Research Protection
Human Research Protection (HRP) is responsible for administrative and regulatory support to the Drexel University Institutional Review Boards (IRB) and the University's Human Research Protection Program.
Animal Care and Use
An Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) is required by federal regulations for institutions that use animals in research, teaching and testing. The IACUC has a key oversight role, including the review and approval of animal use activities, and inspection of animal facilities.
Environmental Health & Safety
Drexel’s Office of Research and the Department of Environment Health and Safety are dedicated to the health, safety and welfare of our research community.
Drexel University engages in research, scholarly, and creative activities that involve the development or use of products, goods, hardware, software, materials, information, or technology. Such activities may be subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations (Export Controls).
Financial and Programmatic Assurance involves the evaluation and monitoring of financial data to ensure adherence to OMB Uniform Guidance and other applicable regulations.
