UPDATE: EARTHQUAKE IN CENTRAL ITALY
October 23, 2016
Two earthquakes have occurred recently in Central Italy, including a 6.6 earthquake in Norcia, approximately 72 miles from Rome. The earthquakes have destroyed many buildings in the towns of Visso, Norcia and other small towns in the area. While felt in Rome, it does not appear to have caused significant damage to buildings in the city. Drexel currently has a few students in Italy, but they have not been affected by the earthquake. OIP will continue to monitor the region.
