  • UPDATE: CONCERNING EVENTS IN GERMANY, SWITZERLAND AND TURKEY

    December 20, 2016

Yesterday, three unrelated incidents of violence took place in Europe: the truck crash in Berlin, Germany; an attack inside an Islamic prayer center in Zurich, Switzerland and the assassination of the Russian Ambassador in Ankara, Turkey. The Office of International Programs is monitoring carefully news reports about these events as well as proactive security measures that are being put in place in European countries. The University has only one known traveler in these three cities whose well being was reported yesterday not long after the incident in Berlin. These troubling events are a reminder to all Drexel travelers that acts of violence can occur indiscriminately and travelers should exercise caution during the holiday season.
