Thank You, Dr. Faye Meloy

June 15, 2016

After 14 years of exemplary service to Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions, Dr. Faye A. Pearlman Meloy, Associate Dean, Pre-Licensure BSN Nursing Programs and Associate Professor, will retire effective July 31, 2016 and has accepted the position of Dean of Health Professions, Emergency Services and Nursing at Delaware County Community College, Media, PA.

We are both appreciative and proud of Dr. Meloy’s contributions to the growth and excellence of the Nursing Division, particularly the undergraduate nursing programs, BSN Co-op, 11 month Accelerated Career Entry (ACE) and the 2 year ACE Hybrid Program. During her time at Drexel, Dr. Meloy has chaired the BSN Co-op Program from 2007-12 and served as Assistant and then Associate Dean for Pre-Licensure Nursing Programs from 2011 to the present. She has taught extensively in the MSN Leadership and Management track and served as the Director of Academic Emergency Medical Services as the program phased out. Dr. Meloy has been an integral member of the College’s Dean’s Council and has represented CNHP on the Provost’s Associate Deans' Council.

Dr. Meloy earned a PhD in Educational Leadership and Learning Technologies from Drexel University’s School of Education in 2009. She holds an MBA from Widener University, an MSN from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BSN from Thomas Jefferson University. She currently serves on the Virtua Health Care System Board of Trustees and has been honored as a Harvard Macy Scholar and an Academic Leadership Fellow by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Dr. Meloy’s extensive administrative experience in hospitals in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania has contributed considerably to her role as an academic administrator in the College of Nursing and Health Professions.

Please join me in thanking Dr. Faye Meloy for her service to the College and the University. We wish her well in her new venture at Delaware County Community College and look forward to many future collaborative projects.

Sincerely,

Gloria F. Donnelly, PhD, RN, FAAN, FCPP
