Juan Carlos Figueroa

Doctoral Research Fellow

Juan Carlos Figueroa is a Doctoral Research Fellow concentrating in Epidemiology. Before coming to Drexel University, he received a BA in Anthropology from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala. Previously, he worked with the Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama in a study aiming to improve hypertension control and with the Ministry of Public Health doing assessments and helping to design communication strategies to improve malaria care. He is interested in mixed methods research focusing on cardiovascular diseases and social determinants of health.
