Yasin Khan

Yasin hopes to use her Urdu language skills when working on gender based violence and women’s health. Yasin served in AmeriCorps’ City Year Louisiana and has been working on violence prevention for several years. Most recently, she completed an internship at UCLA’s Labor and Occupational Health Department and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) conducting research on workplace violence.

The Critical Language Scholarship will take her to Lucknow, India for eight weeks.
