Rachel Magee
Information Studies PhD Candidate
I am currently a student in the iSchool, where I study Human-Computer-Interaction, as well children and teens and their information behavior. I am interested in making it easier for all to use technology to get to information. I am also interested in online dating, mobile technologies, and the future of libraries. I came back to school after working as a teen services librarian, where I saw first-hand how hard it can be for people, including children and teens, to access the information they need or want. I am interested in getting users involved in the technology design process so that the resulting systems and technologies work more effectively. In addition to my research, I enjoy hiking, photography, needle-art, and reading teen fiction. For more information, check out my website.
