Matthew Parsons has completed undergraduate research internships at the University of Maryland, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. After graduating from Drexel's Honors Program, he continued to work at Princeton for a year until taking on a Fulbright Study/Research Grant in France to work on the ITER project. Still in the field of nuclear fusion research, Matthew is now a graduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he works on controls and plasma diagnostics on the HIDRA stellarator.
