Farah Noorani
Biology/DUCOM BS/MD, 2014
Farah will be travelling to India this fall to investigate the reasons for delays in hospital treatment for cardiac patients experiencing acute symptoms, delays that can be life-threatening. Her project will focus on largely underprivileged patients seen at the cardiac unit of a large public hospital in Mumbai.
Farah is a student in Drexel’s BS/MD program, completing her second year of Medical School. She participated in cardio-clinical research at Mt. Sinai Medical School in NY and plans to return to the US to finish medical school after her Fulbright year. She would eventually like to work in an urban hospital in the US with an eye toward public health.
Farah was raised in an Indian-American family in Edison, NJ and is enthusiastic about the opportunity to get to know India in a deeper way.
