Daniel is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences at Texas A&M University, working with Dr. Kirk Winemiller. He is also a trainee in the Applied Biodiversity Sciences NSF-IGERT Program. Daniel’s interests lie primarily in community ecology and its application to conservation. His research seeks to understand how changes in biodiversity, such as species losses or introductions, impact ecosystem functioning in rivers. In addition, he hopes to further our understanding of how these changes impact the numerous ecosystem services that rivers provide.
