Bryan Byles
Materials Engineering PhD, '18
Bryan Byles (Materials Engineering, PhD, ’18) is studying Materials Science and Engineering with a focus on energy storage materials. Bryan did his undergrad in Materials Science and Engineering at Rutgers University, graduating in 2013. He studied conversion cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries using transmission electron microscopy techniques. He now works on tunnel-structured manganese oxides for beyond-lithium energy storage systems, such as Na-ion and Mg-ion batteries. His Drexel advisor is Dr. Ekaterina Pomerantseva.
