Alexis Carlsson
BA International Area Studies '17, Honors
Alexis is an International Area Studies major with a concentration in Global Science, Sustainability and Health, minoring in Spanish, Public Health and Nutrition. She is passionate about the power of civic agriculture and a food-systems approach in policy to eliminate urban health disparities and build healthy, diverse and resilient communities. Alexis is president of Drexel Urban Growers, a member of the Student Global Advisory Board, and a Community Health Researcher for the River Wards Environmental Health study with Dr. Alison Kenner.
After graduating from Drexel, Alexis plans to pursue a Masters in Public Health and work to eliminate health disparities through public health programming and policy.
