Thomas Devaney is a mediator, writer, and educator with a focus on city building and community engagement. He works as engagement coordinator for the Lindy Institute part-time and is enrolled in Drexel’s Urban Strategy program. He also continues teaching creative writing at Haverford College where he has taught for the past decade. Devaney is a Pew Fellow in the Arts and author of Getting to Philadelphia: New and Selected Poems (Hanging Loose Press, 2019). He wrote and co-directed the film Bicentennial City (2020) about the 1976 Bicentennial in Philadelphia.
