The United Nations World Food Program issued a warning this week that the coronavirus pandemic means "famine is a very real and dangerous possibility." Food insecurity is already an issue all over the world, and sadly, that includes right here in Philadelphia. Mariana Chilton, director of the Center for Hunger-Free Communities and professor at Drexel University joins KYW In Depth to break down why we're facing a hunger crisis, and her ideas about what is needed to fight back.
