20th Century Garments

The twentieth century has often been described as the “Century of the Designer,” a characterization clearly reflected in the Fox Collection. While most major international high-fashion designers and houses are well represented, the collection also includes more personal and socially significant garments, such as a pair of patched and painted jeans worn at the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival and a pair of well-worn dresses dating from the Great Depression.
