Cali Chesterman

I am currently pursuing a B.S. in Animation and Visual Effects, with a minor in fine arts. My goal is to develop leadership skills in the entertainment industry, by facilitating communication between people of different technical, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Being the first in my family to go to college, education is important to me - I make a diligent effort to vary my studies and take advantage of resources, and I encourage others to do the same. 

I am humbled by the generosity of The Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship Program for funding my 3-month Co-Op in Beijing. They have given me the opportunity to experience traveling abroad for the first time, reconnect with my high school Chinese language skills, and prepare for the job mobility that is typical of the animation industry. I hope to positively represent my family, Drexel, my city (Philadelphia), and my country. Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way.
